Tag Line Contest For New Company Name.

It has become necessary for Eddies Hand Painted Things to have a name change. As it is now, there is some ambiguity associated with the brand, mainly who is Eddie and why are the pieces signed Wincy as opposed to Eddie?

Well as opposed to popular beliefs Eddies is not a guy but a gal name Wincilla Edwards who decided to use Eddie in the company name to create continuity with a previously owned family business, Eddies Vivid Images. This should also shine some light as to why the pieces are signed "Wincy". It's short for Wincilla.

So with that said, the new name is "A Wincy Glass & Design". This name was chosen as it best reflects what the company is about  - hand painted glassware and other designs which are design by the artist Wincilla.  This name change means that our website, blog, facebook fan page, and twitter would all be change.

With all these changes, I wanted you my blog followers and facebook fans to be a part of the process. As result, I am holding a tag line contest for the new company name. "A tag line is usually a short, concise statement so you will not have long to say what you are trying to say and say it effectively. It must express a company's purpose and draw a persons interest enough to want to learn more. it must be attractive and informative to consumers and potential customers".

The winner will have the option of either the 'Lady Tiger' or 'Princess Daisy' hand painted expression stemware. All you have to do to take part is write your tagline in the comment box below the Tag Line Album on Eddies Hand Painted Fan Page.  The winner will be selected on Monday Oct 18, 2010 at 3 p.m.

Stay tuned for further updates associated with the name change.http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=242260&id=339557434633

  1. Could you still change the name? If so I recommend "A Wincy Glass"- shorter is always easier for people to say and remember. Then tag line= "Designs with Class". So it would read A Wincy Glass- Designs with Class.

  2. Thanks Courtney, I love it! That was my first choice, but I discarded as I design ceramic plates and terracotta pots, etc and wondered if this might be to limiting. But with a tag line like that it's certainly food for thought. I would so appreciate if you could add your tag line to the comments box on the Tag Line Contest Alum of my photo face book page.
